Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure that you have:
  • An active API key with the necessary write permissions configured for the target environment (Sandbox or Live).
Access to the OpenXSwitch Console with workspace administrator privileges.

The Plan

In this guide, we will cover:
  1. Navigating to Tron Gas Manager
  2. Activating the Gas Manager on your workspace
  3. Funding the Gas Manager

Step 1: Navigate to Tron Gas Manager

  1. Log into the OpenXSwitch Console.
  2. From the left navigation menu, navigate to Wallet Infrastructure → Settings → Tron Gas Manager.
Tron Gas Manager Setup

Step 2: Activate the Gas Manager

  1. Click the Setup Gas Manager button.
  2. A confirmation modal will appear detailing the automated delegation workflow.
  3. Confirm the setup to generate a dedicated TRON wallet specifically assigned to manage workspace gas sponsorship and account activations.

Step 3: Fund the Gas Manager

To power automated resource delegation and cover mandatory 1 TRX account activation fees, the dedicated Tron Gas Manager wallet must hold a TRX balance:
  1. Copy the generated Tron Gas Manager wallet address from the console.
  2. Deposit native TRX into the address:
    1. Testnet (Nile): Request testnet TRX via the Nileex TRON Faucet.
    2. Mainnet: Transfer TRX directly to the dedicated wallet address.
  3. Once the deposit is confirmed on-chain, the Tron Gas Manager automatically handles Energy delegation, Bandwidth allocation, and account activation whenever workspace addresses initiate USDT or TRC-20 token transfers.
